Halloween 2011

I'm finally getting around to posting my Halloween pictures. I don't really have an excuse as to why it's taken me so long - only that I'm lazy when it comes to my blog. Here is a collage of pictures of us doing Halloween things...Our Ward had a Halloween carnival. Joel was King Julian from Madagascar and I was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Mason dressed as a Karate kid, Gabe was the headless horseman (without a horse), and Emrie was a snow princess - except on the day of trick-or-treating she went as a princess.

Each of the kids had picked out pumpkins and they designed what they wanted carved into their pumpkin. Joel was the "carver" and with his great talent of carving cutting up pumpkins he made a scarry pumpkin with sharp teeth on our large pumpkin. For Gabe's pumpkin he carved out a traditional pumpkin face with triangle eyes and toothless smile. Mason wanted a fox carved into his pumpkin, and Emrie also choose to have a traditional pumpkin face with triangles and toothless smile.

This was the first year Gabe went out on his own for trick-or-treating and he was able to get tons of candy. Mason and Emrie were accompanied by Joel on their "fright night" adventure. They didn't get as much candy, but were happy non the less.

Your costumes are very original! Gabe went out on his own? That always made me sad, when the kids were old enough to go on their own or with friends.
